Role Purpose
As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out hands-on testing of Manna’s aircraft hardware and ground support equipment at our test facility in Clara, County Offaly. You will execute defined test procedures, operate test equipment, record results accurately, and support engineers in validating hardware performance, reliability, and safety.
This role is suited to a practical, detail-oriented technician who enjoys working with hardware in a structured test environment and contributing directly to the safe operation of complex electromechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute hardware test procedures on aircraft systems and ground support equipment
· Set up test hardware, fixtures, instrumentation, and test environments as defined by engineers
· Operate test equipment such as tensile testers, power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems
· Accurately record test results, observations, and anomalies in test logs and reports
· Identify and report hardware issues, faults, or deviations from expected behaviour
· Support troubleshooting and re-testing activities under the direction of test or design engineers
· Maintain test areas, equipment, and tools in a safe, organised condition
· Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and documented processes at all times
· Assist with hardware preparation, configuration, and teardown before and after tests
· Support continuous improvement of test processes through feedback and practical insight
· This role may involve travel to support hardware testing and validation activities at operational sites, new test sites and new launch locations
Requirements:
Skills and Education
Essential
· Technical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience in a mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic discipline
· Hands-on experience working with mechanical and/or electronic hardware
· Ability to follow test procedures and work instructions accurately and consistently
· Experience using basic test and measurement equipment
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
· Clear written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
· Experience working in test, manufacturing, integration, or maintenance environments
· Exposure to electromechanical, aerospace, automotive, robotics, or industrial hardware
· Familiarity with test documentation, logs, and reporting tools
· Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings or schematics
· Interest in aviation or autonomous systems
