We are looking for a HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Testing Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in automotive system validation and integration testing. This role focuses on setting up, executing, and troubleshooting HIL test environments to validate ECU software and system-level functionality. You will work closely with development and validation teams to ensure robust software integration, accurate diagnostics, and reliable communication across automotive protocols. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with hands-on expertise in HIL tools, communication protocols, and programming.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and configure HIL environments for test campaigns, including HIL integration, software flashing, ECU parameter updates, and measurement setup.
• Execute integration and validation test cases using dSpace Control Desk, Configuration Desk, MATLAB/Simulink, and CANoe automation tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues observed during testing, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Validate communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and UDS.
• Support software flashing activities and ensure proper ECU configuration.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using C and Python where required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and manage tasks using JIRA.
• Ensure test documentation, traceability, and reporting standards are maintained.
What Makes You a Great Fit
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in HIL integration testing (mandatory).
• Strong working knowledge of dSpace Control Desk and Configuration Desk.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, CANoe, CANape, and automotive diagnostic tools.
• Solid understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS).
• Experience with software flashing and ECU parameter updates.
• Programming knowledge in C and Python (mandatory).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with vehicle-level testing is a plus.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments with JIRA toolchain exposure.
