GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Harbor Program Support Specialist shall provide structured support within Created’s Harbor Program to help maintain a safe, stable, and supportive living environment for women enrolled in the program. This position serves as an on-site staff presence during designated weeknight evenings and weekend days, offering supervision, support during emergencies, conflict de-escalation and resolution, and facilitating activities that contribute to residents’ emotional well-being, community connection, recreation, and spiritual growth.
The overall objective of the position is to promote a peaceful and healthy residential environment while reinforcing community standards and expectations, encouraging positive engagement, and supporting residents through trauma-informed presence and intervention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Commitment to work with and provide trauma-informed care to women who have experienced human trafficking.
Provide on-site supervision during assigned hours within the residential program.
Maintain a safe, secure, and peaceful living environment in accordance with house rules and program policies.
Serve as an immediate point of contact for resident concerns, urgent needs, or emerging situations during assigned hours.
Respond appropriately to emergencies, including contacting program leadership, emergency services, or other designated personnel when necessary.
Use trauma-informed practices to de-escalate disagreements, conflict, emotional distress, or crisis situations among residents.
Monitor resident interactions and provide supportive intervention when needed to promote healthy community living.
Facilitate and/or organize activities that support resident recreation, mental wellness, community building, and spiritual health.
Encourage resident participation in structured evening activities that promote relationship building and personal growth.
Document incidents, concerns, or notable events and communicate updates to the Care Team or leadership as required.
Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and calm demeanor at all times.
Collaborate with program staff regarding resident concerns, patterns, or after-hours issues impacting care.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Evidence of deep alignment with Created Women Inc. mission and values.
Must be sensitive to and respect cultural diversity amongst clients, staff, and volunteers.
Complies with all applicable training requirements.
Complies with all company safety, personnel, and operational policies and procedures.
Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in emergencies.
Ability to set appropriate limits, use sound judgment, and maintain professional boundaries.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to organize, self-direct, and facilitate group activities.
Possess strong work ethics.
Ability to empathize and practice trauma-informed care with those who have experienced various levels of trauma.
Successfully pass a FDLE Level II background screening.
Valid Florida driver’s license, ability to drive, and reliable transportation.

Maintain regular supervision and ongoing support so I have a person with whom I can address challenging personal issues, behaviors, or conditions that may negatively effect my own recovery. I understand that misconduct may result in the suspension of my credentials.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma GED required.
Previous experience in an anti-trafficking related field preferred
Willingness to travel/drive regularly. Have a valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance.
