HYDE Johannesburg Rosebank is a unique opportunity to experience a one-of-a-kind lifestyle hotel brand.
The hotel is a festival-inspired food lovers paradise and showcase for music and nightlife, featuring 131 rooms with natural textures and artisan touches.
The hotel boasts a range of luxurious rooms each meticulously designed to provide the utmost comfort and style.
General Responsibilities
• Ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and replaced/refurbished as required
• Perform preventative maintenance, installations, repairs and troubleshooting on refrigeration and electrical systems and general facilities
• Perform rotation cleaning duties as required
• Report any accident, or damage to equipment immediately
• Ensure that the facilities and equipment are continuously in good repair and safe for human use
• Responding to breakdowns timeously
Customer Specific Responsibilities
• Ensure guest satisfaction by performing such duties as attending to their requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently
• Ensure that all logistics duties are performed and completed with minimal interruption and inconvenience to guests, and the service operation
• If spoken to acknowledge guests using the appropriate levels of discretion and the correct forms of address
• Report or hand in any property belonging to the guest left lying open in the room
• Ensures that areas where jobs are undertaken are left properly clean and ready for use
• Always display a polite and gracious manner.
Quality Specific Responsibilities
• Comply with and apply all relevant quality standards, policies, processes, rules and procedures
• Follow the established sequences of logistics service, adjusting for the needs of operations
• Complete any paperwork required as part of the job
• Notice and communicate to management opportunities to further improve quality standards
• Contribute to the implementation of on-going and continuous improvements
Facilities
• Maintain any storage facilities to ensure they are clean and tidy
• Be aware and familiar with operating procedures for all departmental machines, equipment and tools
Knowledge and Experience
• Qualified Electrical / Mechanic or Plumber with recognised Trade Test
• Experienced in advanced facilities and equipment maintenance practices
• Ability to effectively communicate with others in English
• Intermediate level equipment and facilities maintenance knowledge and application thereof through duties
• Displays a sense of urgency and dedication to meeting the needs and wishes of others
• Dedicated to achieving high standards by working with others in a friendly and professional manner
• Ability to work effectively and safely when under pressure and when placed with demands
