Growth Monetization Engineer (Node.js) - Leaply

Hello! We are Leaply - an ecosystem of interconnected digital and physical products designed to help people build healthy habits and improve quality of life. We’re building a portfolio of B2C products for global markets, including the US, Tier-1 countries, Europe, and beyond. In June 2024 we launched a new web platform for habit-building with a subscription model and performance-first marketing across Meta, Google, and TikTok.

We started as a startup in 2024 and grew 10× in the last six months. In 2025, we’re aiming for another 5×. Demand is validated, and the user flow is steady. Next up: a mobile app that rethinks how habits are formed.

To deliver on this vision, we’re hiring a Growth Monetization Engineer (Node.js) who will act as a founding engineer for our Payments & Operations zone. This is not just about "integration" — you will build the financial backbone of the company that handles 5x growth, ensuring scalability, reliability, and automation across our revenue streams.

What you’ll do

— Act as a cross-functional partner: Work directly with Payment, Marketing, and Ops teams to translate business goals into technical solutions that drive revenue;
— Own the Payments Domain: Design and build resilient payment infrastructure (Node.js/NestJS), ensuring transactional integrity, smart retries, and accurate financial data synchronization;
— Infrastructure & DevOps: Take full ownership of your services' lifecycle — from architectural design to deployment and monitoring in our cloud environment (GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform); — Data & Analytics: Build reliable data pipelines (BigQuery) to empower analytics and ensure every cent is accounted for;
— Collaborate, don't isolate: While you lead the Payments zone, you’ll work closely with the wider Engineering Chapter, sharing knowledge and building the platform together;
— (Nice to have) Contribute to simple internal tools or dashboards (React/Next.js) to unblock Ops teams when needed.

What matters to us

— 3+ years of commercial experience building scalable web backends;
— Expert with Node.js (NestJS preferred) and TypeScript;
— Strong experience with PostgreSQL (transactions, isolation levels) and asynchronous architectures (Queues, Event-driven);
— Hands-on DevOps experience: You are comfortable setting up CI/CD, configuring Docker, and managing resources in Kubernetes/GCP;
— Revenue-driven mindset: You understand that "code quality" means "business reliability". You care about metrics like Payment Success Rate as much as CPU Load;
— Proactive communication: You don't wait for tasks — you identify problems and propose technical solutions to business challenges;
— You use AI in your workflow to move faster and think broader.

Bonus points

— Experience in FinTech, E-commerce, or High-load projects;
— Deep understanding of Payment Processing (Idempotency, Reconciliation, Fraud prevention);
— Experience with Data Engineering (BigQuery, ETL pipelines);
— Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform);
— Willingness to occasionally touch Front-end (React) to build internal tools.
