Location: Budapest, XI. (On-site Monday to Thursday, Remote on Fridays)

Purpose of the Role:
As a Growth Marketing Engineer at Zocks, you will bridge technology, data, and growth initiatives to accelerate experimentation and automation across the business. This is a highly cross-functional role within our Growth Marketing team in Budapest, where you will work on building scalable automations, optimizing digital touchpoints, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

This role is not about classic marketing execution or site building — it is about technical problem-solving, experimentation infrastructure, and building and connecting systems that help the business grow faster and smarter. You will have broad access to data, tools, and systems from day one, gaining visibility into marketing, product, data, and development workflows.

Key Responsibilities::
• Build and maintain automation workflows to support growth initiatives across marketing, sales, and product.
• Develop and maintain web scraping and data enrichment workflows.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support analytics, reporting, and experimentation.
• Ensure clean, reliable, and scalable data pipelines for growth-related initiatives.
• Implement and optimize A/B testing frameworks and experimentation setups.
• Improve landing page performance through technical frontend optimizations (speed, dynamic elements, tracking accuracy) — focusing on engineering aspects rather than visual site building.
• Integrate and connect tools natively via APIs or custom solutions where needed.
• Collaborate with Growth, Product, and Engineering teams to design and execute experiments.
• Continuously identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience::
• Fluent Hungarian and English language knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Python (or similar) for automation, scripting, or data-related tasks (e.g., scraping, enrichment, internal tooling).
• Comfortable working with data — basic SQL knowledge or willingness to learn quickly.
• Curiosity about how different tools and systems connect (APIs, integrations, automation platforms).
• Interest in experimentation, landing page optimization, and improving digital performance from a technical perspective.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Genuine interest in business and growth challenges (formal marketing experience is not required).
• Ownership mentality and willingness to experiment, iterate, and learn fast.

Nice to have::
• Experience with A/B testing tools or experimentation frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern growth stacks and automation platforms.
• Exposure to SaaS or startup environments.
• Background that combines technical education with business orientation (e.g., coding bootcamp + business degree, or marketing interest + strong coding skills).
