Role Overview
The Growth Lead - Paytm Travel will own the end-to-end growth charter across all travel categories (Flights, Trains, Bus, Hotels, Packages). The role is responsible for driving scalable and sustainable user growth through Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM), Performance Marketing, Retention & Engagement, Social Media, and New User Acquisition via all possible digital and offline channels.
This position will be accountable for growth P&L, including payback efficiency, cohort performance, LTV expansion, CAC optimization, funnel conversion, and building high-impact growth systems that accelerate business scale.
The role demands a data-driven problem solver with a deep understanding of user behavior, experimentation, growth marketing, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities
1. Growth Strategy & Ownership
Define and execute the Own key metrics: Build and scale a predictable growth engine across acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention.

2. Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM)
Lead CLM across Design automated journeys using segmentation, behavioral triggers, and predictive modelling. Increase customer lifetime value through personalized nudges, gamification, and contextual triggers. Partner with Product & Data Science to build next-gen personalization and recommendation systems.

3. Performance Marketing (Paid Media)
Plan and optimize performance campaigns across Optimize spend efficiency with attribution modelling, MMM, incrementality testing. Manage multi-crore budgets with strong ROI discipline. Build a multi-channel user acquisition engine across paid, organic, OEM, and partnerships.

4. Retention & Engagement
Own retention funnels across all travel categories. Drive repeat transaction rate, DAU/MAU uplift, and cohort stickiness. Run experiments (A/B, MAB) on funnels, pricing, discounts, and content to improve conversion & retention. Work closely with CRM/CLM, Product, and Business teams to enhance user experience.

5. Social Media & Community Marketing
Lead organic social presence, moment marketing, creator collaborations, and community-building initiatives. Drive brand consideration and engagement, specifically for high-intent travel audiences. Collaborate with Brand and PR teams for larger campaigns, influencer activations, and sale seasons.

6. Cross-Functional Leadership
Work with Product, Tech, Category, Brand, BI/Data, and Operations teams to execute growth plans. Provide intelligence on market trends, competitor strategy, and growth best practices. Lead a small but high-performing Growth team; mentor and upscale talent.

7. Insights, Reporting & Governance
Build a rigorous measurement framework for all growth levers. Partner with Analytics teams to run funnel analysis, cohort tracking, retention curves, and payback modelling. Create weekly/monthly growth reviews for leadership. Ensure all growth initiatives align with compliance and brand guardrails.

Candidate Profile
Experience
- 8–10 years of proven growth leadership in digital-first companies (Travel, E-commerce, Fintech, Mobility, OTA preferred).
- Experience managing multi-channel acquisition, CLM, and retention at scale.
- Strong understanding of travel consumer behavior and category economics is a plus.

Skills & Competencies
- Deep expertise in growth marketing, performance media, CLM, retention, experimentation, attribution & analytics.
- Strong business acumen: comfort with P&L logic, payback modelling, LTV projections.
- Skilled in working with data: SQL familiarity preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
- Thought leadership in growth; proven track record of scaling a consumer product.
