We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Group Manager with a focus on Interior Cockpit.  The Group Manager manages a team of Global Supply Managers and oversees all company business with a group of interior / display / switch and mechanism suppliers.  The role is a key internal interface with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality and Manufacturing to deliver world class products on time and cost effectively.  The Group Manager must identify, develop, and manage the global Supply Chain for their team and manage against the overall Supply Chain team and company priorities. He or she will help establish our global supply chain strategy, support cross-functional teams during the development and industrialization phases and drive sound business decisions throughout the product life cycle.

You Will as a function of yourself or the team:

• Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals 

• Present upward status of objectives, strategies, and remedies to issues 

• Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential suppliers with the right qualifications to meet Lucid’s expectations and timeline

• Create RFQs, review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sound sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time and technical considerations

• Thoroughly negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and Engineering Services (NRE / EDT)

• Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for Prototype/Production Parts and Prototype/Production Tooling

• Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds/start of production and develop solutions to delays or problems that arise

• Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, parts availability and cost status

• Travel 10-15% to visit suppliers to perform business and program reviews

You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical, supply chain or finance discipline, MBA a plus

• Min 8 - 10 years Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience on focused commodities listed above

• Understanding in key manufacturing processes supporting responsible commodities

• Product launch experience from design to production

• Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis.  Able to show teamwork to resolve problems and a thought process to drive successful solutions

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution. Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage complex suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff

• Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities

• Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)

• Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively

• Ownership and commitment to your role and supporting teams’ success

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)
$142,900—$209,550 USD
