The Group Head, Ad Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing end-to-end ad operations excellence across multiple key clients and industries. This role leads ad operations teams to deliver accurate, scalable, and best-in-class ad delivery, measurement, and verification solutions, while acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.

With deep expertise in ad serving, tagging, analytics, and measurement frameworks, the Group Head ensures high standards of data accuracy, brand safety, and operational efficiency across digital campaigns. The role also plays a critical part in driving innovation, capability building, and regional collaboration within the ad operations function.

Key Responsibilities

Ad Operations Leadership & Governance

• Lead and oversee ad operations teams supporting multiple clients, ensuring consistent delivery excellence and operational best practices.

• Set standards and governance frameworks for ad trafficking, tagging accuracy, campaign taxonomy, and measurement reliability.

• Ensure high-quality execution across all campaigns, with a strong focus on data accuracy, compliance, and scalability.

Ad Tech, Measurement & Platforms

• Oversee the management and optimization of third-party ad servers, analytics tools, Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs), ad verification platforms, and tag management systems.

• Drive continuous improvement in campaign tracking, reporting accuracy, and measurement frameworks across web and app environments.

• Lead GA4 implementation, migration, audits, and ongoing optimization to ensure robust data health and usability.

Performance, Verification & Brand Safety

• Implement and manage ad verification and viewability solutions to improve programmatic performance, reduce Invalid Traffic (IVT), and maintain high brand safety standards.

• Monitor and optimize viewability, IVT, and quality metrics in collaboration with media, programmatic, and regional teams.

Analytics, Reporting & Data Enablement

• Develop and implement standardized campaign taxonomy frameworks to improve reporting efficiency and data consistency.

• Collaborate with delivery, analytics, and reporting teams to enhance dashboarding and reporting solutions (e.g. GA4, Power BI).

• Translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders.

Client Consulting & Technical Advisory

• Act as a senior technical consultant and escalation point for clients on ad operations, tagging, measurement, and on-site behaviour analysis.

• Lead complex technical projects including site tagging, GA4 migration, audits, and advanced audience analysis.

• Partner closely with clients to design scalable measurement solutions aligned with business objectives.

Team Development & Capability Building

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing ad operations teams across multiple accounts.

• Design and deliver structured training programs for internal teams and clients on ad operations, ad serving, web/app measurement, and trafficking.

• Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence.

Regional Collaboration & Innovation

• Collaborate with regional and cross-market teams on measurement audits, tagging frameworks, and best practice adoption.

• Drive knowledge sharing and innovation across markets to elevate overall ad operations capability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Extensive experience in ad operations, ad tech, and digital measurement, preferably within a media agency or digital consultancy environment.

• Strong hands-on expertise in ad serving, tagging, analytics, GA4, MMPs, and ad verification platforms.

• Proven experience leading teams and managing complex, multi-client ad operations environments.

• Track record of delivering measurable improvements in data accuracy, viewability, IVT reduction, and brand safety.

• Experience working with clients across industries such as FMCG, Tobacco, Beauty, Retail, and Telecommunications.
