Job Summary

Do you want to join a growing international group and take end-to-end responsibility for accounting, reporting, and financial governance?

We are looking for a Group Financial Controller to take ownership of the group’s financial operations, reporting, and accounting framework, and to play a key role in building a scalable finance function across countries.

The role reports directly to the CFO and combines hands-on accounting responsibility, group reporting, and process ownership. This is a broad and accountable role with real impact on how finance supports the business.

The role, what you will own

Group & monthly reporting

Ownership of monthly close for Denmark and consolidated group reporting

Ensuring accurate and timely management reporting

Developing and improving reporting structures (from entity-based to group, product, or segment views)

Supporting the CFO with reliable data for board, investor, and management reporting

Accounting, compliance & audit

Ownership of accounting principles, bookkeeping guidelines, and financial controls across the group

Responsibility for Danish statutory accounts and group financial statements

Preparation and coordination of audits (local and group)

Ownership of capitalisation rules and fixed asset registers

Handling special accounting matters 

Handling dividend registration and withholding tax

Overall responsibility for tax and VAT compliance, including guidance to bookkeepers where needed

Finance governance & business guidance

Acting as the primary point of contact from Finance for the business on administrative and financial matters, including:

Expense handling and approvals

Corporate cards and cost ownership

Legal entity allocation and invoicing guidance

Defining and maintaining clear finance guidelines

Process ownership & external partners

Ownership of finance processes and continuous improvement of documentation, controls, and data quality

Reducing manual work, exceptions, and firefighting

Owning the collaboration with the external bookkeeper, auditors, and advisors

Group integration & change

Supporting ongoing post-merger integration across systems, data, and reporting

Ensuring consistent intercompany flows, transfer pricing, and consolidation logic

Assessing and implementing accounting implications when the group structure or business changes

Your profile

We expect that you:

Have strong experience within accounting, controlling, and group reporting

Have worked as Group Financial Controller, Senior Controller, Finance Manager, Accounting Manager or similar

Are comfortable owning end-to-end finance processes across multiple entities and countries

Are structured, detail-oriented, and accountable

Can communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, auditors, advisors, and business leaders

As a scale-up group, priorities will evolve, and you should be comfortable handling ad hoc tasks outside a narrow role definition when needed.
