This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.
We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems - not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe - today.
Your mission:
Support the development, integration, and operation of drone ground control stations by working hands-on with real hardware and evolving system setups, helping make them more reliable, efficient, and well-documented for operational use.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble, integrate, and optimize hardware components within drone ground control stations, including laptops, radios, networking equipment, and power components.
• Ensure reliable and efficient interaction between all hardware and system components.
• Design, implement, and maintain clean and robust cable management solutions.
• Support energy and power management concepts, including battery-based systems and fallback power supply solutions.
• Work with Linux-based systems in daily operation, configuration, and setup.
• Perform hands-on testing, experimentation, and iterative system improvements based on customer and operational requirements.
• Document system setups, configurations, and dependencies in a clear, structured, and maintainable manner for internal use and customer handover.
• Support the integration of ground control stations into larger operational and customer environments.
• Contribute to completing ground control stations in line with Bundeswehr (Bw) requirements.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in a technical, mechanical, or electrotechnical field (5 years ideal; exceptional candidates considered with a minimum of 3 years).
• Strong hands-on mentality with excellent practical problem-solving skills.
• High adaptability and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, experimental environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, cross-functional team and communicate clearly.
• Ability to obtain EU/NATO security clearance.
Nice to have:
• Knowledge of radio systems and antenna setups.
• Experience working with Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience repairing or working with composite, foam, or plastic structural components.
