The Trust Engineering team at Grab is dedicated to ensuring the safety, integrity, and reliability of Grab's platform. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and solutions including heavy AI usage, the team tackles challenges such as fraud prevention, user insights, and platform enhancement. With a focus on service ownership, incident management, and scalable platform development, Trust Engineering helps deliver secured experiences for millions of users across Grab's ecosystem.

Get to Know the Role

This is a 6 months full-time onsite role based in Singapore as part of the GRIT Programme.

Trust team builds cutting-edge solutions designed to provide robust fraud detection service with petabyte-scale datasets. Our platform leverages the latest advancements in AI/LLM to help businesses minimize the risk of fraud and maintain a secure environment.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability in Golang.
• Work on large-scale data systems, leveraging statistics, economic principles and AI to continuously optimize our fraud detection strategies and enhance platform security
• Participating in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.

Technical Skills and Competencies Trainee will learn during the traineeship:

• Collaborate within an Agile sprint team to deliver end-to-end features for our high-volume risk-prediction platform, influencing both its development and operational strategy.
• Be an integral part of software engineering sprints, learn how to design and build the large-scale data platform.
• Leverage the latest AI/LLM technologies to accelerate the development lifecycle.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Strong interest in backend software development.
• Coding experience and solid knowledge in least one modern programming language such as Go, Python, C++
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Experience in engaging with AI tools and latest technologies to enhance productivity
