Green Bay Organizer Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment, Renewal, and Development of Community Leadership in Green Bay: Identify, recruit, and support new members interested in taking on leadership roles within the organization. Coordinate the renewal process for existing memberships and promote personal and organizational growth of community leaders through trainings, mentorship, and active participation in local campaigns and committees.
• Management and Updating of Membership Database: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of local meetings, attendance, contact information, membership levels, and member participation in Green Bay. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality through systematic tracking and proper use of the organization's database.
• Support for the Voter Spokesperson Campaign: Actively support the voter spokesperson strategy in the region, ensuring community leaders are trained to provide basic electoral education to new voters. Coordinate trainings, distribute informational materials, and facilitate dialogue spaces to strengthen informed civic participation.
Qualifications:
● At least 1-2 cycles of competitive field experience, preferred but not required
● Basic knowledge of VAN/EveryAction a plus
● Basic computer literacy and database skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel
● Ability to work irregular hours in a fast paced, community-driven work environment with a firm grasp of metrics and deadlines.
● Must have access to reliable transportation.
● Ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple projects.
● Familiarity with Relational organizing, leadership development, and team building
● Ability to work independently, and- especially- within a team environment.
● Strong coaching skills and abilities
● Bilingual experience is a strong plus, but not required
● Winning mentality- we approach ALL problems with a solutions-based mentality, constructive critic, open dialogue, and decisiveness. Once decisions are made, we execute the plan and adjust as needed with the ultimate goal in being victorious in all of our electoral and otherwise campaigns.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
● Primary physical demands for the job include regular sitting, standing/walking, and lifting up to 25lbs.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
● 15hrs/week
● Employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights during week of elections and otherwise major events.
● Employees may be required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle, and generally not allowed to take more than 2-3 days off during blackout periods.
Emergencies will not be impacted by this policy.
Paid Time Off (PTO) Benefits for Part Time Employees (PT 15 Hrs):
Vacation Time: 30 hours per years
Personal Time: 6 hours per year
Sick Time: 24 hours per year
All time-off benefits are prorated based on your start date and will be renewed to the full annual allotment on January 1st each calendar year.
Salary: $23/hour
