Who we are looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced full-stack engineer with strong technical chops and a desire to work proactively and responsibly on a project with high impact. As an example, on an average day you might work on a new feature to improve user's messaging through the site, optimize SQL queries to improve a report export performance, or integrate our system with a new API to expand functionality. You will be working with two other full stack engineers, a product leader and designer. As a small team, we are leaning into AI to improve velocity and quality and are seeking someone like-minded who will enthusiastically join us in that approach and even bring more ideas to the table for how we can further leverage AI tools. About the role:

Our team works remotely in weekly sprints, with a high level of autonomy and ownership of each undertaken project. Our stack is Postgres / Python / Django / Angular, all continuously deployed on Heroku. We also use AWS, Github, Asana, and a variety of other services and tools. We are very collaborative, engaging often in coworking and pairing sessions, and we frequently screen share work in progress and discuss technical and architecture decisions as a team. Participation in team meetings requires availability during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance robust product features across the frontend and backend.

• Help improve code quality, workflow and test coverage over time.

• Participate in documenting and scoping of features and their architecture.

• Optimize UI and API performance incrementally.

• Manage and reduce technical debt proactively.

• Take ownership of each project in their different phases: scoping and prototyping, building and testing, release and monitoring.

• Support and expand data analytics reports for the broader team.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.

• Focus on the details, aiming at quality, security and reliability.

• Expert in Python with advanced SQL knowledge.

• Efficient in the UI, testing and owning full-stack projects end-to-end. ● Comprehensive understanding of software development best practices.

• Strong communication ability, openness and autonomy. ● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Collaborative and a good team player.

• Passion for using technology to create positive change in the world. Extra Credit:
