Vanderlande is a market-leading provider of logistic process automation. To be able to deliver these multi-million euro projects in a profitable way, the Strategic Costing & Verification (SC&V) department develops and maintains pricing and costing models and tools. These models and tools are used globally to calculate and price our projects and solutions.  

The world in which Vanderlande operates is changing rapidly. Which demands for new way to develop and maintain data driven costing models, using our data and “new” data analytics driven technologies. The assignment is to analyse and quantify our available costing data and make proposals to enable more automation in development and maintenance of our costing models and data used in our sales process and to support business decisions.

Department description

The Strategic Costing & Verification (SC&V) team owns the methodology to the cost calculation process used for our Customer bids. The team maintains the calculation tools and content that are used by our global Sales teams, and ensures that the costing data in our calculation system (CAP) is adequate and accurate. Together with Business Unit stakeholders SC&V analyzes, prepares overviews on our cost data, our cost structure, and drives initiatives for further improvements, innovations and completeness of our cost models. Adopting new data driven costing models will significantly impact the maintenance effort and accuracy of our costing and pricing methods. 

Tasks/responsibilities

• Investigate potential for application of new data driven costing models
• Analyse impact on our current costing models and tooling 
• Analyse the impact on our calculation methodology, process and cost model maintenance

• Strong analytical mindset and the ability to support work with data and business tooling  
• You have interest with business costing models and financials 
• You like to work in a strategic department in an international company 
• You have affinity with the solutions and products of Vanderlande  
• You have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to support in stakeholder management 
• You have Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills
• *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
