Are you a new graduate Registered Nurse ready to start your nursing career in a supportive and rewarding community setting?
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Graduate RN to join our community nursing team, providing wound care and specialist clinical services to individuals in their homes across the Bay of Plenty.
Te Mahi | About the role:
This is an excellent opportunity to build your confidence and clinical skills in a supportive, well-structured environment.
You will:
Visit patients in their homes to provide wound care and clinical support.
Develop your assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
Learn case management and patient education in a real-world setting.
Build positive working relationships with GP practices and other healthcare professionals.
Deliver continuity of care from initial assessment through to recovery.
As a graduate nurse, you will receive:
A structured orientation programme.
Ongoing clinical supervision and mentoring.
Access to continuing professional development and education.
Strong team support while working autonomously in the community.
Job Location: Bay of Plenty
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent offering 40 hours per week
The successful candidate will have:
Applicants must have a current APC or be in the process of receiving (Annual Practicing Certificate).
Eager to develop skills in wound management (including simple, complex wounds and burns)
Interested in gaining experience in catheter care and community nursing
Caring nature and ability to connect with people from various backgrounds
Time management and relationship-building skills
Positive communication skills
Demonstrate a commitment to providing the best service delivery to our clients
Eligible to work in New Zealand
Full NZ Driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle
