Overview of the Role
As part of the Quantitative Trading department, you will support the trading team across: strategy research, quantitative model development, portfolio analysis, and data-driven decision making.
During the programme, you will gain exposure to a range of activities across algorithmic trading, signal research, risk management, and execution analytics. You may contribute to the development and backtesting of trading strategies, performance attribution, research initiatives, and analytical outputs used by both senior portfolio managers and external stakeholders.
You will assist in improving trading system efficiency, ensuring data integrity, and delivering high-quality quantitative research within a fast-paced trading environment.
This stream is suited to candidates with a strong quantitative background, a passion for financial markets, and the ability to apply statistical and computational methods within a systematic trading framework.
Requirements:
You must have:
β’ Right to work in Italy (no visa sponsorship)
β’ Professional working proficiency in English
β’ Graduated or graduating by September 2026
Academic background:
β’ Degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a related quantitative discipline
β’ Masterβs degree preferred
Skills:
β’ Strong understanding of financial instruments, derivatives, and market microstructure
β’ Python: Intermediate or above (basic is not sufficient) β experience with pandas, NumPy, and data analysis libraries is expected
β’ SQL: Basic knowledge required
β’ Excel: Strong proficiency (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, structured analysis)
β’ Ability to develop and backtest quantitative strategies in notebooks or structured codebases
β’ Familiarity with statistical concepts such as time series analysis, factor modelling, or regression analysis
β’ Analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, and strong attention to detail
β’ Internship or previous work experience in trading, quantitative research, or financial analytics is a plus
