Information Technology Office (ITO) is currently looking for One or more teams of two programmer analysts, one of whom is an experienced Cúram Developer with Cúram V6 is required to join the ITO Linkin Application Development and Support Team to participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.

This program is a multi-year initiative to implement Cúram Case Management Software. The Information Technology Office is interested in attaining a cost effective solution for the anticipated project and support work over the next 3 – 6 years. We are looking for an approach where a team of two resources are brought on together, with one of those having experience working on a Cúram implementation and the other resource to be a Java P/A who will be mentored by the experienced resource.
Innovative suggestions for building cost effective solutions are sought.

The Information Technology Office uses a model where the development team is responsible for design and development, and Programmer Analysts must have the ability to work closely with Ministry clients. The successful candidates will be an integral part of the Application Development and Support team. The following activities are included as part of the development team’s responsibilities:
 
· Working with Ministry Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts, create detailed design specifications, and make suggestions for various solutions within Cúram to meet business needs with the goal of minimizing customizations
·      Ensure that designs are complete, understood by the Ministry, and kept up to date
·      Estimating effort for development of solutions
·      Development of solutions according to the design and associated unit tests
·      Quality Assurance of work produced by others on the team
·      Analysis of reported defects and other technical issues through to solutions

·       Liaising with Cúram Experts

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:
·       Minimum of 3 years experience in a Cúram implementation, and at least 6 months with Cúram V6.
·       Minimum of 6 years experience in Development in Java/J2EE
·      Minimum of 2 years experience integrating interfaces into other systems
·      Minimum of 2 years experience with model driven development

      Other resource must have:
·      Minimum of 3 years experience in Development in Java/J2EE
·      Commitment to become Cúram Developer certified at their own cost

Other Required Skills:
      Knowledge and experience working with Oracle; proficient in SQL
     Knowledge of/ experience with Rational Rose or Rational Software Architect and modeling using UML Experience in Client Server, Multi-tier and Web environment using Java, IBM Websphere and J2EE technologies
·      Experience with Application Architecture
·      Experience with Websphere Application Server
·       Ability to create and write technical documents including but not limited to: functional specifications, operational documentation, release plans, release notes and architecture documents (please cite specific examples) Significant experience in source code administration of multiple development streams
·       Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate root causes (please give examples) Experience with AIX 5.3/6
·      Experience with Star Team
