Mandatory Requirements:
A minimum of five (5) years full-time work in mainframe application development. Previous experience with environment configuration, security configuration and administration, service packinstallation and package build and deployment is required.
A minimum of five (5) years experience administering a mainframe environment.
Experience in the application of “best practice” application development methodologies including quality processes such as requirements reviews, design reviews, code reviews and the development and implementation of effective testing strategies
Knowledge of database concepts, theories and principles.
Thorough knowledge and routine use Adabas (not required but an asset). Natural.
Easytrieve and Vision builder. Z-O/S-JCL/Utilities and TSO.
Other Required Skills:
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Good communication skills: ability to produce detail documentation; ability to verbally communicate technical jargon to non-technical people.
Ability to contribute to project planning with work breakdown tasks and accurate estimates.
Project experience following project processes, standards and documentation requirements as defined by a formal methodology.
