COMPENSATION RANGE: Approximately USD $6.00–$7.50 per hour, based on experience, technical capability, and performance history.

POSITION TITLE: Google Ads Manager & Performance Analytics Specialist
DIVISION: Marketing & Sales
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Chief Marketing & Sales Officer
WORK SCHEDULE:Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time (U.S.). The contractor must be actively available during these hours to collaborate with U.S.-based leadership and client stakeholders.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Google Ads Manager & Performance Analytics Specialist is responsible for the full lifecycle management of Google Ads accounts and the supporting analytics infrastructure required to measure, optimize, and scale performance.
This role is both strategic and technical. It requires the ability to build and manage high-performing paid search campaigns while also ensuring that all marketing data flows accurately through Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM),
GoHighLevel (GHL), and related tracking systems.
The Specialist must be comfortable operating at the intersection of advertising strategy, budget control, technical implementation, and performance analytics. Accuracy, organization, and accountability are critical components of this role.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
The objective of this position is to:
Generate measurable lead and revenue growth through Google Ads
Maintain accurate and compliant conversion tracking systems
Ensure CRM and ad platform attribution alignment
Improve cost efficiency across campaigns
Deliver consistent, structured performance reporting
Success is defined not just by traffic generation, but by verified, attributable outcomes inside the client’s CRM and business systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Google Ads Strategy & Campaign Management
The Specialist will lead strategy, buildout, and optimization of Google Ads accounts, including:
Conducting structured discovery to understand client services, margins, geographic targets, and KPIs
Designing scalable campaign architectures (Search, Performance Max, Display, Remarketing, YouTube where applicable)
Performing keyword research, search term audits, and competitive analysis
Developing negative keyword frameworks
Writing and testing high-performing ad copy and extensions
Managing bid strategies and adjusting targeting settings
Monitoring Quality Score, impression share, and conversion trends
Scaling profitable campaigns while maintaining efficiency thresholds
Budget Oversight & Performance Optimization
The contractor will maintain active financial oversight of advertising spend by:
Monitoring daily and weekly pacing
Reallocating budgets based on performance data
Identifying underperforming segments and reducing waste
Maintaining target CPA, CPL, or ROAS benchmarks
Documenting optimization actions and rationale
Budget discipline and performance accountability are core expectations of this role.
Conversion Tracking & Analytics Infrastructure
A critical function of this position is maintaining accurate tracking and attribution systems.
Responsibilities include:
Configuring and managing GA4 event tracking
Building and maintaining Google Tag Manager containers
Setting up Google Ads conversion actions and enhanced conversions
Implementing and maintaining UTM governance standards
Configuring cross-domain tracking where required
Implementing consent-based tracking using Cookiebot
Configuring Google Consent Mode
Supporting or implementing server-side tracking through Stape (sGTM)
Conducting ongoing QA validation to prevent tracking discrepancies
Every conversion must be measurable, verifiable, and aligned across platforms.
GoHighLevel (CRM) Integration
The Specialist is responsible for ensuring that advertising data aligns with CRM outcomes.
Linking Google Ads and GA4 to GoHighLevel sub-accounts
Ensuring accurate UTM capture
Configuring pipeline attribution visibility
Implementing offline conversion imports when applicable
Conducting monthly attribution audits between ad platforms and CRM data
Website & Conversion Optimization Support
While not serving as a primary developer, the Specialist must:
Audit landing pages for performance and conversion effectiveness
Ensure proper tracking on forms, booking tools, call buttons, and chat systems
Identify user friction impacting conversion rates
Provide structured recommendations for improvement
Reporting & Communication
Clear communication is essential.
Build and maintain Looker Studio dashboards
Deliver weekly performance summaries
Provide structured monthly reports including:
Spend
Conversions
Cost metrics
Optimization actions
Strategic next steps
Translate technical insights into actionable recommendations for leadership
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2–5 years of hands-on Google Ads management experience
Strong proficiency in GA4 and Google Tag Manager
Experience implementing and troubleshooting conversion tracking
Familiarity with GoHighLevel or comparable CRM systems
Understanding of attribution modeling and UTM structures
Ability to work full-time aligned with U.S. Eastern Time
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Reliable remote work environment and internet connectivity
