Role Purpose
The Golf Marketing Manager will lead revenue-focused marketing across Carr Golf’s portfolio of managed golf and leisure venues.
This role requires a strong understanding of the business of golf and sports membership environments. The successful candidate will drive customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth through data-led, multi-channel campaigns, while ensuring marketing strategies reflect the unique dynamics of golf clubs, golfer expectations and seasonal demand.
This position also supports the promotion of Carr Golf Services to industry stakeholders across Ireland and the UK.
Reporting & Team
Reports to the Head of Marketing
Direct line management of a Marketing Executive.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute multi-channel marketing plans aligned to site-level revenue targets.
Drive membership acquisition and retention, visitor green fee sales and ancillary income.
Align campaigns with seasonal demand patterns and venue-specific objectives.
Support pricing and promotional strategies informed by golf market insights.
CRM, Retention & Customer Lifecycle
Lead CRM strategy using segmentation and marketing automation.
Deliver personalised lifecycle campaigns to increase engagement and customer retention.
Improve golfer communication relevance, loyalty and lifetime value.
Digital Performance
Oversee paid search and paid social performance.
Monitor ROAS, CPA, conversion rates and funnel performance.
Ensure SEO best practice and digital optimisation across websites.
Work closely with agency and in-house content teams.
Analytics & Insights
Establish clear KPIs linked to revenue and retention.
Analyse campaign and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
Provide performance reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Brand & Stakeholder Management
Act as brand guardian across Carr Golf managed golf venues
Support B2B marketing to promote Carr Golf to UK and Irish course owners, committees and trade partners.
Maintain strong collaboration with operations, sales and external partners.
Adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
Essential Experience
6+ years’ experience in a commercially focused marketing role.
Strong knowledge of the golf industry and/or sports membership sector is essential.
Experience managing the customer journey from casual visitor to repeat customer or member.
Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable revenue growth.
Expertise in CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot or equivalent).
Experience managing paid digital campaigns and performance budgets.
Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
Experience working across multiple brands or business units, balancing central strategy with local execution.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable Experience
Experience working directly with golf clubs, sporting organisations or leisure venues.
Exposure to B2B marketing within sport or hospitality sectors.
Budget ownership experience.
CMS (e.g. WordPress) experience.

Academic/Other Requirements
