Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent or Foreman, the Golf Course Grounds Crew member operates large equipment such as tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks, and other maintenance equipment and tools.
What you’re responsible for
• Operates various types of equipment, including walk behind mowers, triplex mowers, large-area reel and rotary style mowers, blowers, sprayers, heavy equipment, and hand-held tools.
• Operates smaller equipment as directed by the supervisor.
• Ensures equipment cooling systems are functioning properly; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment issues or failures immediately to the Equipment Manager.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager or Assistant Superintendent and returns equipment to the designated maintenance facility.
• Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor.
