Now, only five years after being founded, close to 8 million citizens use the itsme® app , to identify themselves and sign documents online. Starting in Belgium, we successfully launched the itsme app in 17 European countries, with the ambition of becoming an internationally leading player . We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our expanding technology team. In this role, you will play a key part in building and modernizing our backend architecture, contributing to the development of a secure, scalable, and high-performance platform. What your job looks like Develop and maintain backend systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Participate in the design and implementation of a modern microservices architecture using Go. Translate functional requirements into clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Contribute to backend restructuring efforts, helping to build a future-proof infrastructure. Work closely with the Tech Lead, frontend developers, QA engineers, product owners, and architects in an Agile development environment. Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement. Support DevOps initiatives, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging cloud technologies. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, helping to build a strong in-house backend development team.
