Job Description

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We are seeking a motivated GNC intern to join our team and contribute to advanced rendez-vous testing at our robotic facility. As a GNC intern, you will play a key role in preparing, executing, and analyzing test campaigns related to guidance, navigation, and control systems.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to Test Plan Definition: Assist in developing and refining the test plan for rendez-vous tests at ESA's robotic facility, ensuring all scenarios and requirements are covered.

• Implement Sensor Models: Develop and validate sensor models ahead of the test campaign to support accurate simulation and testing.

• Define and Implement Software Interfaces: Design and implement software interfaces required for the tests, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software components.

• Support the Test Campaign: Participate in the execution of the test campaign, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed.

• Analyze Test Results: Collect, process, and analyze data from the test campaign to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement.

Profile:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering program (Aerospace, Robotics, Computer Science, etc.).

• Strong interest in guidance, navigation, and control systems.

• Experience with software development and sensor modeling is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Duration: 6 months Location: Munich (with trips to support test campaigns in ESTEC) Start Date: ASAP
