As GM / AVP – Process Safety, you will define and drive the organization’s Process Safety vision, strategy, and governance framework across all manufacturing and operational sites. You will serve as the enterprise authority on major accident risk prevention, ensuring world-class Process Safety Management (PSM) standards are consistently applied across the organization.

Requirements:
Process Safety Strategy & Governance

• Define and implement an enterprise-wide Process Safety vision, strategy, and governance model.
• Establish and standardize Process Safety Management (PSM) systems aligned with global best practices, including OSHA PSM, CCPS, IEC 61511, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Act as the corporate subject matter expert for prevention and mitigation of major accident hazards.

Risk Assessment & Engineering Assurance

• Oversee high-quality hazard identification and risk assessments for operating plants, capital projects, technology transfers, and expansions.
• Ensure inherent safety principles and robust engineered safeguards are embedded throughout design, scale-up, commissioning, and operations.
• Review and provide governance oversight on critical engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts, relief and venting systems, SIS philosophies, and containment strategies.

Audit, Compliance & Performance Management

• Lead corporate process safety audits, maturity assessments, and regulatory compliance readiness programs.
• Monitor site-level compliance, track closure of corrective actions, and intervene where significant risk gaps are identified.
• Define, monitor, and report leading and lagging process safety KPIs to senior leadership and, where required, to the board.

Incident Prevention & Organizational Learning

• Provide leadership oversight for investigation of serious incidents and high-potential near misses.
• Ensure rigorous root cause analysis and effective deployment of learnings across the enterprise.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and long-term risk reduction roadmaps to strengthen process safety performance.
