Job Description
You are a recognized expert in automotive electronics reliability, with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and leading high-performing teams. You thrive in high-impact environments where data drives decisions, and you confidently engage with senior stakeholders, customers, and suppliers. You combine deep analytical expertise with strong leadership, enabling you to guide teams through uncertainty and deliver robust, reliable products.
Responsibilities
Lead and govern global reliability engineering activities from RFQ and design phase through field performance.
Assess mission profiles, define assumptions, and reliability/ confidence level targets to support business and customer
decisions.
Oversee life data analysis, accelerated testing correlation, and product risk assessment based on field and warranty data.
Support virtual validation reliability analysis to assess the correlation with physical testing
Be the technical authority for complex, safety relevant, or high impact failure analysis cases.
Lead root cause investigations, failure hypothesis definition, and controlled failure signature reproduction activities.
Represent Lear in senior level technical discussions with customers and suppliers during escalations.
Develop, mentor, and lead the Reliability & Failure Analysis team, including succession planning and skills development.
Promote a culture of data driven, risk-based decision making across the organization

Experience Requirements
Master’s degree in Electronics, Materials Science, Physics, or equivalent
Extensive experience in automotive electronics reliability and failure analysis
Strong expertise in reliability modeling, life data analysis (e.g., Weibull), and testing correlation
Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and technical experts
Solid knowledge of automotive standards and strong stakeholder communication skills
