As a Global Medical Insights & Analytics Director in our Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit, you will be at the forefront; proactive, innovative and brave, we don't stop. It means we dare to do the big studies in the real world, utilising primary and secondary data, leading the field in evidence generation and external scientific engagement. 

 

Accountabilities 

• Partner with global therapeutic area (TA) medical teams to develop medical strategies and KPIs that demonstrate medical value and impact  

• Drive data collection, analysis and reporting to monitor ongoing medical strategic alignment, performance and impact; overlay and leverage key data sets to demonstrate cause and effect 

• Ensure on-time, quality analysis and data for medical performance reviews; leverage TA/brand strategic knowledge and insight to guide recommendations and decision-making, supporting and challenging where appropriate 

• Lever expertise to drive programs that inform medical performance in partnership with TAs and other stakeholders  

• Collate and react to evolving data needs and stakeholder feedback and requirements; lever expertise to deliver creative solutions to meet growing needs of the business 

• Develop performance related communications in partnership with medical leadership to ensure full awareness of medical performance expectations 

• Influence the design of medical platforms that capture medical activity and impact  

• Drive consistent utilization of global medical dashboards across global, regional, and local medical teams; identify improvement opportunities based on stakeholder input 

• Collate insights from various sources including field medical teams that can be leveraged to inform and influence global, regional, and local strategy  

• Keep abreast of external medical performance landscape and emerging needs; provide counsel, expertise, and influence to ensure that AZ Medical teams are consistently recognized as differentiated and valued partners by our customers  

• Foster an aligned, performance-driven and engaged field medical leader community  

• Adopt a collaborative, cross functional working culture to ensure a data and performance led mindset across the brands and TAs  

 

Skills and Experiences 

• Ability to digest and appraise multiple data sets/performance measures to identify themes and trends 

• Highly organized and technically capable; able to navigate data and digital platforms  

• Robust understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs, including field medical teams  

• Degree in health sciences or biomedical engineering preferred 

• Knowledge of Respiratory, Immunology, Cardiovascular, Renal, and/or Metabolic therapeutic area(s) preferred 

• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal 

• Ability to work effectively and influence cross functionally and cross-culturally 

• Independent and strategic thinking 

• Effective problem solving using creative solutions
