Position Overview
The Global Data Services Manager will lead the design, implementation, and integration of managed services and SaaS-based data services across the company. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless delivery of data solutions that support customer business operations, analytics, and customer engagement. The role will oversee global cross-functional teams and drive integration strategies that align with organizational goals.
The Data Services Manager will play a pivotal role in modernizing the organization’s data ecosystem, ensuring that managed and SaaS services are seamlessly integrated to support operational excellence, customer engagement, and long-term scalability. This is an in-office role located in Calgary, Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Management
Oversee the deployment and ongoing management of managed data services and SaaS platforms.
Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics are consistently met.
Manage the global data services teams and ensure optimal delivery of data cleansing and data integrations for Algo’s customer base
Develop quality assurance protocols and best practices for client data management
Team Leadership
Manage and mentor a global team of data service specialists, integration engineers, and analysts.
Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, accountability, and customer success.
Develop training programs to upskill staff in SaaS and managed service technologies.
Implementation & Integration
Lead end-to-end implementations of both managed services and SaaS data services, including requirements gathering, configuration, and rollout.
Develop and execute integration strategies between SaaS platforms, legacy applications, and enterprise systems.
Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure interoperability and data consistency.
Strategic Planning & Innovation
Identify opportunities to optimize data services through automation, APIs, and advanced integration tools.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Provide thought leadership on emerging SaaS and managed service trends.
Data Governance & Compliance
Establish and enforce data governance policies across managed and SaaS environments.
Ensure compliance with international data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Monitor and audit data flows to maintain integrity and security.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
7+ years of experience in data services management, with a focus on SaaS and managed service implementations.
Proven expertise in data integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica, Talend) and SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow).
Strong knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and API management.
Experience with data governance frameworks and compliance standards.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
