Your Role at impact.com
As a Global Clearinghouse Specialist, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring the seamless flow of global payments that power the partnership economy. You aren’t just processing transactions; you are a guardian of trust for our advertisers and media partners, solving complex financial challenges in a high-growth SaaS environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to act as a key interface between technology and global treasury, helping us optimize our product and deliver world-class service to our clients.
What You'll Do
• Drive Global Payment Operations: Lead the daily execution of media partner payments and advertiser deposits, ensuring all transactions meet our high standards for accuracy and speed (SLA compliance).
• Champion Financial Integrity: Perform critical screening for first-time payees and manage "Do Not Pay" workflows to ensure all partners remain compliant and verified.
• Optimize Treasury Management: Monitor global bank account balances and partner with the Global Clearinghouse Manager to forecast funding needs, ensuring we are always ready to facilitate partner payouts.
• Bridge Product & Finance: Act as a subject matter expert by identifying opportunities to improve our platform’s financial functionality based on real-world feedback and internal data.
• Support Global Compliance: Own the compilation of critical tax documentation (such as US 1099s) and manage audit requests and statement of accounts for our diverse global client base.
• Empower Internal Teams: Serve as a high-level knowledge resource and trainer for our Customer Success teams, providing the financial insights needed to resolve complex client inquiries.
What You Bring
• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced finance, banking, or fintech environment, ideally with exposure to international treasury or clearinghouse operations.
• A proactive problem-solving mindset: You don't just spot errors; you find the root cause and work across teams (and tools like JIRA) to solve them.
• Technical proficiency: Strong skills in MS Excel or Google Sheets, with an interest in or experience with cloud-based invoicing and spend management software (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
• Global perspective: Comfort working across different time zones and an understanding of international banking and diverse tax landscapes (US/EU).
• Clear communicator: Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Growth mindset: A natural curiosity to learn the inner workings of a leading SaaS platform and a commitment to maintaining a professional, "can-do" attitude in a high-responsibility role.
• Nice to Have: A relevant Finance or Commerce degree/diploma; experience with SQL or Microsoft Office certifications.
