Glass Takeoffs and Purchasing Specialist

RemoteVA is seeking a Takeoffs and Purchasing Specialist with experience in the glass, construction, or architectural materials industry. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of interpreting project measurements and specifications to generate accurate material takeoffs and vendor purchase requests.

You will be responsible for ensuring that each project is priced and assigned to the appropriate vendor based on the project’s scope, timeline, and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

-Perform glass takeoffs and review project drawings or measurement data.

-Accurately input and manage project details within the company’s system.

-Assign and price projects to vendors based on material, quantity, and project specifics.

-Communicate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and confirm order details.

-Support the purchasing process by preparing and tracking purchase orders.

-Maintain accurate project and vendor records for reporting and follow-ups.

-Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely project execution.

Requirements:
Qualifications

-Proven experience in takeoffs, purchasing, or estimating (preferably in glass or construction projects).

-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and pricing.

-Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for documentation and calculations.

-Experience with CAD software is a strong plus.

-Ability to read and interpret architectural or technical drawings.

-Strong organizational and communication skills.

-Reliable and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
