Job Title: Glass & Glazing Estimator
Start Date: Immediately
Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000/annually DOE
Position Overview: The Glass and Glazing Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the costs of planned glass and glazing construction projects, encompassing labor, equipment, and material requirements, and subsequently submitting comprehensive proposals. This role requires a meticulous approach to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
Essential Job Functions:
Review and clarify project information from sales to produce accurate, timely glass and glazing estimates.
Prepare estimates using The EDGE, including material takeoffs, labor, pricing, and risk considerations.
Maintain up‑to‑date market pricing and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to control costs.
Analyze project scope, specifications, and risk on complex glass and glazing projects.
Prepare and coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and other required project documentation.
Participate in pre‑bid, post‑bid, and job review meetings to support successful project execution.
Generate job cost reports and ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and company processes.
Build relationships with clients and contribute to continuous operational improvements.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Maintain a valid driver’s license and follow company vehicle and safety policies.
Understand and comply with OSHA requirements and all workplace safety protocols.
Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, The EDGE, and CRM tools such as Pipedrive.
Strong knowledge of commercial glass and glazing systems, industry codes, and standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, submittals, and product specifications.
Detail‑oriented, analytical, dependable, and able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a people‑oriented mindset.
Represent the company professionally while modeling core values of integrity, accountability, respect, and excellence.
Minimum Education and Experience:
3+ years of experience in construction and/or glass and glazing estimating preferred.
5+ years of experience in the glass and glazing industry.
General construction and sales experience preferred.
OSHA 10 Construction Certificate
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program.
Primarily indoor office environment.
