The Role

We are looking for a GL Accountant with a focus on Inventory Accounting to join our Finance team in Prague. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of general ledger activities, including inventory processes and valuations, for Draslovka entities across the US, Canada, Chile, Mexico, and Australia. Act as backup for other colleagues from the GL team. Help with preparing procedures and other process documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, calculate, and post monthly accruals and journal entries

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness

Execute and monitor trial balance controls and resolve discrepancies

Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities

Analyze and explain variances versus forecasts and prior periods

Perform inventory valuation checks and cooperate with operations or supply chain teams

Maintain and monitor SAP processes to ensure data accuracy

Support fixed asset accounting activities as backup

Support internal and external audits

Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives

What We Are Looking For

Higher economic education in Accounting or Finance

Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience

Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP

Experience with SAP R/3 or S/4HANA and MS Office

Experience in multinational environment is an advantage

International Accounting Qualification appreciated

Proficiency in fixed asset accounting software and ERP systems

People orientation, relationship building skills, stress resistance

English at upper-intermediate level (Spanish or other language as advantage)
