JOB SUMMARY
The GIS Analyst is responsible for the technical execution of spatial data management and analysis within the Digital Delivery team. This role focuses on converting complex project data—ranging from legacy airport drawings to real-time field surveys—into actionable GIS layers and high-quality maps. You will work closely with sub-program teams to ensure spatial accuracy and provide the data visualizations necessary for informed decision-making across the program’s construction and design phases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, maintain, and update spatial databases and web maps to support all sub-programs.
Digitize and georeference legacy airport data sets drawings, new and existing utility layouts, and survey data to ensure an accurate Digital Twin of the airport environment and construction-activity can be reflected.
Collaborate with the survey site teams to capture and integrate field data (e.g., utility locates, pavement restoration progress) into the program’s Smartsheet and GIS tracking systems.
Produce high-quality cartographic outputs and data visualizations for stakeholder briefings and technical reviews and gain insights to project activity.
Support the management of the ArcGIS Pro online environment and ensure integrity of the system and platform with the support of the Digital Delivery and IT teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree or Diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Geomatics, or a related field.
Proven experience working on large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Enterprise environments.
Technical knowledge of CAD-to-GIS workflows (AutoCAD/Civil 3D integration); GeoBIM experience is an asset.
Strong understanding of data management principles and spatial database administration
