Job Description

Are you passionate about working outdoors? Walmart is hiring Landscape Technician Operators! In this role, you’ll contribute to maintaining attractive, clean, and well-kept landscapes. Your responsibilities will include mowing lawns, pruning, fertilizing shrubs, trees, bushes, and flowers. If you enjoy physical labor and working in various weather conditions, this job is for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Perform landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, and pruning year-round.

• Maintain grounds, including the parking lot, exterior building, and surrounding areas to ensure a clean environment.

• Work as part of a team responsible for landscaping and exterior maintenance.

• Adhere to high safety, security, and integrity standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and local, federal, and state regulations.

• Travel may be required to perform job duties.

• Have experience in landscaping, agriculture, general maintenance, or retail.

• Understand the importance of customer service and communicate clearly and respectfully.

• Are self-motivated and manage time effectively to meet commitments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.

• Successfully complete a driver’s road test for the combination truck and trailer used in this role.

• Obtain necessary licensing and/or endorsements if required by the state.

• Communicate effectively in person and through telecommunications.

• Operate motor vehicles weighing 10,001 - 26,000 lbs as required.

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Certifications such as Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Project Management (PMP).

• Experience in third-party management.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to read and verify small print information.

• Create and complete documents, reports, and electronic entries.

• Ability to operate landscaping and motor vehicle equipment safely.
