About the role

We are looking for a senior Endocrinology specialist to join our Medical Advisory Board and support the international expansion of our EU online weight loss service.

This is a strategic, advisory role for an experienced clinician with deep expertise in GLP-1 prescribing within the German online weight loss market. You will act as the local Subject Matter Expert, ensuring our clinical protocols, SOPs, and service design align with German regulations, best practice, and patient safety standards.

You will work closely with our Medical Director and Medical Leadership team to shape, review, and future-proof our asynchronous digital prescribing model.

This role is long-term, flexible, and fully remote.

What you'll be doing:

• Review and sign off on all localised clinical protocols and SOPs relating to GLP-1 prescribing and weight loss services.

• Act as the local SME for the German online GLP-1 and weight loss service.

• Provide horizon scanning and market insight to anticipate regulatory, clinical, or best-practice changes.

• Advise on research, innovation, and advances in the medical management of obesity and related indications for GLP-1 therapies.

• Proactively identify gaps or risks within the service, ensuring ongoing compliance and patient safety.

• Support the Medical Director with expert input for strategy, service development, and international expansion.

• Attend ad hoc virtual meetings at mutually agreed times.

• Support sourcing of additional medical advisors where specialist gaps are identified.

• Be listed on the local MedExpress website as a Medical Advisor, including profile photo and bio.

Who you are:

• Specialist in Endocrinology or a closely related specialty with a strong focus on obesity and weight management.

• Extensive experience within the German online weight loss market, specifically GLP-1 prescribing via asynchronous digital consultations.

• Registered specialist with the German Medical Association (Bundesärztekammer), with a valid licence to practice.

• Fluent, professional English and German (written and spoken).

• Strong understanding of digital health, telemedicine models, and protocol-driven prescribing.

• Ideally experienced in designing, reviewing, or overseeing digital prescribing services.

• Ideally an actively practising clinician.

• Commercially aware, detail-oriented, and comfortable advising at a senior level.

Time Commitment

• Minimum 4 hours per month, flexible timing, long-term commitment

• Availability for at least one 30-minute online meeting per month, scheduled at mutually agreed times
