Job Description
Responsible for the technical delivery of geotechnical projects, including conducting laboratory testing on soil, rock, and other geological materials, in full compliance with Company procedures as well as Health, Safety, and Quality policies.
Key Responsibilities
1- Sample Collection and Preparation
• Collect and prepare soil and rock samples for laboratory testing in accordance with the standard procedures.
2- Laboratory Testing
• Perform geotechnical tests such as:
• Grain Size Analysis
• Atterberg Limits
• Proctor Compaction
• California Bearing Test
• Permeability Test
• Unconfined Compression Test
• Compressibility and Shear Strength Test
• Soil Index Test
• Rock Testing
• Advanced Geotechnical Testing
3- Data Handling
• Record, analyze, and interpret test results
• Prepare detailed lab reports and communicate findings to engineer and laboratory manager.
• Calibrate, maintain and operate geotechnical lab equipment in accordance with ASTM/BS/ISO standards.
