Geotechnical Engineer

The Geotechnic will provide technical expertise and guidance, ensuring that all projects in geotechnical field adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance within the local context. The expert will contribute to Egis’s technical excellence and visibility among clients and prospects, engage in innovative practices, and share knowledge within the Group.

•    Calculating retaining structures and the stability of deep excavations,

•    Analysis and stabilization of landslides,

•    Analysis of the existing condition of earth structures for railway and road investments,

•    Analysis of the designed condition (including reinforcement under embankments and analysis of their load-bearing capacity and stability, stability of excavation slopes and excavation supports, foundation of buildings),

•    Analysis of access zones to engineering and infrastructural objects,

•    Preparation of a geotechnical project in the scope resulting from the regulation on determining geotechnical conditions for the foundation of buildings.Analyze offers and draft summary reports and specifications at all stages of design (tender, preliminary design, definitive design, project),

•    Participate in the selection of technical solutions (financial estimates, sizing of technical solutions,  ...),

•    Lead the technical design and implementation of solutions for projects, ensuring compliance with local standards and project specifications,

•    Actively contribute to the group's technical signature visibility among our clients and prospects (e.g., publishing technical articles, participating in tenders, speaking at specialized conferences, mentoring, …),

•    Contribute to technical communities and collaborate with the Egis Experts network to integrate and disseminate best practices,

•    Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization,

•    Maintain external accreditations and an in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulations and industry best practices.

•    Keep strong technical connection with SL Experts to promote, discuss and improve the cross-borders production model.

•    Support HR team for the definition of needed resources recruitment

•    Actively put him/her-self available for mentoring and new resources training and leading.

•    Minimum of five years of experience in a design office or in design,

•    Higher education,

•    Very good knowledge of geotechnical programs,

•    Ability to apply analytical methods to perform calculation, also with the support of geotechnical software suites (e.g. Geo5)

•    Ability to perform numerical calculations in Plaxis or Midas GTS NX,

•    Experience in geotechnical with a strong focus on technical excellence,

•    In-depth knowledge of international geotechnical standards, in design and build context,

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on effective engagement with diverse stakeholders and presenting complex information clearly,

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical and innovative solutions, and methodically process and organize technical information from various documents,

•    Ability to share and transmit expertise,

•    Proficiency in spoken and written English (minimum B2 level).
