Generator Mechanical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Generator Mechanical Technician with strong hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting generator mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will ensure generators operate efficiently, safely, and reliably through proper mechanical maintenance and timely fault resolution.

Requirements:
• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on generators of various capacities.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults related to engines, cooling systems, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement, belt inspection, and engine tuning.
• Install, align, and test generator mechanical components during commissioning and servicing.
• Monitor engine performance, vibration, temperature, and noise levels to ensure safe operation.
• Identify worn or damaged parts and recommend replacements.
• Support emergency breakdown repairs and on-site mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports.
• Coordinate with electrical technicians during generator servicing and testing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of practical experience working with diesel generators or power generation equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and lubrication systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and service manuals.
• Experience with different generator brands and capacities is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in field conditions.
