We’re looking for an exceptional leader to step into the role of General Manager – Northern Region, where you’ll take full ownership of operational performance and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery. The region of responsibility you will be managing includes the Greater Auckland, Waikato and Northland areas.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you’ll work in close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer to bring organisational strategy to life by translating vision into tangible, high-impact outcomes across the region. The Northern team reporting to you is extremely competent, dynamic and share a passion for innovation and service.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to lead from the front, driving service excellence, lifting performance, and embedding a culture grounded in accountability, quality, and data driven continuous improvement.

Leading end-to-end operational delivery across the Northern Region.

Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, innovation, and continuous professional development.
About you | He kōrero mōu
To be successful in this role you need to have:
Hold a tertiary qualification in a health-related field (essential); a business or management qualification is desirable.
Minimum of 10 years’ senior management experience.
Extensive knowledge of the community pathology sector and its service delivery requirements.
Proven experience in leading, developing, and managing teams in a complex operational environment.
Strong background in pathology management, with sound technical and operational understanding.
Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in budget and resource management.
Strong commitment to quality improvement, health and safety, and patient-centred service delivery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and lead diverse teams effectively.
