As the General Manager at Maison Selby in Toronto, you’ll lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences year-round. You’ll oversee all aspects of daily operations, from refined service and a thoughtfully curated beverage program to fostering a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflects the restaurant’s historic charm and modern sensibility. While driving operational performance, revenue growth, and brand presence, you will play a key role in shaping memorable experiences, inspiring your team, and contributing to the success of one of Toronto’s most distinctive and beloved hospitality destinations.
THE DAY TO DAY:
• Manage and oversee day-to-day operations at Maison Selby, ensuring seamless service across the dining room, bar, and lounge, while upholding the elevated standards of an O&B flagship restaurant.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, championing a refined dining experience supported by a thoughtfully curated cocktail and beverage program that enhances guest enjoyment and encourages extended visits.
• Partner with the management team to plan, curate, and execute a dynamic calendar of programming, including live entertainment and special events that strengthen guest engagement and brand presence.
• Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to contribute creative initiatives that support brand awareness, guest acquisition, and the ongoing promotion of the concept.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, team members, and senior leadership, fostering a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and exceptional service aligned with O&B values.
• Lead, mentor, and develop both management and front-line teams to consistently exceed service expectations and operational standards.
• Oversee key financial and operational reporting, including sales performance, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and labour management, ensuring accuracy and alignment with leadership expectations.
• Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, security, and licensing requirements, maintaining a safe, professional, and high-functioning environment for both guests and staff.
• Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement, revenue growth, and cost efficiencies while preserving a premium guest experience.
• Other duties as required
• Minimum of 3 /4 years of direct restaurant management experience
• Valid Smart Serve Certification
• Demonstrated passion for the art of fine dining and the execution of premier events 
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a confident, professional presence
• Highly organized with the strong ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm, solutions-oriented approach
• Strong business sense combined with hands-on experience in restaurant operations, cost control, and guest service excellence
• WSET Level 2 (Intermediate) Certification or equivalent wine/beverage knowledge is required
• Able to work both A la carte lunch & dinner services and private event
• Ability to work days,evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 base salary + gratuities
