General Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

The Maintenance technician’s primary responsibility is to perform general maintenance repairs, wastewater treatment duties and support technicians as needed. The position will also perform all duties related to our recycling initiative.

Building repairs and maintenance

Essential Position Functions:

Operate forklift

Perform daily wastewater activities to ensure regulatory compliance

Work with chemicals used in the wastewater treatment process

Building repairs and improvements such as but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, repair and replace fixtures, painting etc…

Work alongside other technicians for repairs to ensure safety and quality.

Use of hand tool

Maintaining poise, professionalism and working independently without supervision.

Education/Experience:

Highschool education or equivalent

Forklift Certified. Proficient at operating a forklift

Basic plumbing and carpentry. Basic electrical a plus

Ability to interact with employees of all levels and backgrounds.

Lifting of up to 50 lbs. and manipulating bulky material

Strong Electronic, PLC, controls and Electrical skills required.

Must have good manual dexterity, the ability to use various hand tools, ability to climb and work at elevated heights, exert considerable physical effort, bend, lift, stoop, climb.

Experience with LOTO, confined space, hot work permits, NFPA 70e guidelines.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver s license. Must have a clean driving record
