We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable finance professional to manage General Ledger accounting functions with a strong focus on reconciliations and journal entries. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, hands-on experience with GL processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and manage General Ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions in line with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Perform regular balance sheet and profit & loss account reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances in a timely manner.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities by ensuring all GL entries and reconciliations are completed within defined timelines.
• Analyze ledger balances to identify discrepancies, unusual trends, or potential risks and escalate issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and audit requirements across all General Ledger activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Tax to ensure accurate flow of financial data.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management reviews and audits.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation within GL and reconciliation processes.

• You have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in General Ledger accounting, journal entry posting, and account reconciliations.
• You possess a strong understanding of core accounting concepts, including debits/credits, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• You are highly detail-oriented, with the ability to spot inconsistencies and ensure accuracy across large volumes of financial data.
• You are comfortable working with accounting systems or ERPs and have good proficiency in Excel for reconciliations and analysis.
• You can manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting strict closing timelines without compromising on quality.
• You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to investigate and resolve reconciliation issues independently.
• You communicate clearly and professionally, collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and finance team members.
