The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for keeping financial records accurate and up to date. This includes posting journal entries, doing account and bank reconciliations, managing fixed assets, and helping with month-end close. The role also supports audits, handles intercompany transactions, prepares cash flow reports, and works with other teams to make sure financial data is correct. The accountant may also help with system improvements and other tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.

• Perform bank reconciliations.

• Prepare cash flow reports and analyze actual cash versus forecasted amounts

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing tasks.

• Manage fixed assets in NetSuite, run depreciation, and prepare FAM reconciliation.

• Analyze general ledger accounts for trends and irregularities.

• Support local and group audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.

• Assist in processing and reconciling intercompany activities

• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and accounting policies (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and completeness.

• Participate in continuous improvement projects, automation, and ERP enhancements.

• Perform ad hoc duties as needed.

In order to succeed in this role, you have:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field;
• At least 1-2 years of experience in General accounting handling Month end close activities and Balance Sheet reconciliations;
• Preferably with working experience in big 4 audit firms and from a Shared Services industries;
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills;
• Good communication skills (written & verbal).
