General Ledger Accountant (all genders)

Your creative field:
We are looking for a full-time, permanent General Ledger Accountant (all genders) to start as soon as possible. We are remote-first, but you can choose whether you want to work hybrid or entirely on-site, depending on your proximity to one of our locations. Since a large part of the finance team is based in the Cologne area, this is particularly convenient. 

Our growth will continue steadily in 2026, and tasks will become even more complex, including in the finance department. We are looking for you to ensure that the company's growth and the associated changes are correctly reflected in the accounting and financial statements. 

After familiarizing yourself with our companies and business models with the help of your colleagues in the GL team and accounting, you will accompany and support the accounting department, e.g., in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. In addition to reviewing and commenting on these, you will also accompany audits as the main contact person at home and abroad, make your own bookings (e.g., in fixed assets or in the intercompany area), and ensure that the companies are ready for audit. 

Even though we already have a well-established team, different perspectives, experiences, and new ideas are always welcome. So please take the time to familiarize yourself with the processes in your area of responsibility, review them, and optimize them if you see potential. This will also give you the opportunity to contribute creatively and leave your mark.

What convinces us:
Your personality, coupled with:

•    A degree in economics or commercial training with additional qualifications as an accountant
•    Accounting knowledge in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is desirable
•    Excellent analytical skills
•    very good English skills for communicating with your international colleagues
•    three to five years of professional experience in a comparable position
•    experience in auditing – desirable, but not a must-have
•    the desire to further develop your own area of work
•    commitment and a sense of responsibility, as well as the desire to familiarize yourself with the company structure and stay up to date
