General Laborer (Receiver Non-Ferrous)

Under the authority of the Site Supervisor, the incumbent receives the different types of metals, makes an initial classification and routes it to the appropriate locations:

• Greet customers in a courteous manner following our procedures and requirements.
• Proceed to the unloading of the customers' vehicles.
• Sort the different metals according to their characteristics.
• Inspect customer's metals.
• Identify the right type of metal for each product and validate its quality.
• Weigh the metals on the scale.
• Inform the customer on the price of the metal received.
• Perform data entry in the RECY software.
• Work with different types of machinery, (Forklift).
• Prepare receiving/shipping biases (tickets).
• Assist with torch cutting as needed.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the premises.
• Perform all other related tasks.

• - One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar position.
• - Knowledge of metal recycling (major asset).
• - Fork lift experience (major asset).

• Resourcefulness and dynamic
• Health and safety awareness;
• Very good management of priorities.

Ability to work in a team

• Work schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm + Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
• Full time, permanent position.
• Work inside and outside.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Standing and walking most of the shift.
