CNC Industries Ltd. is looking for a reliable, positive, energetic, and confident Laborer within our Machine Shop, to join our team and contribute in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The Laborer will be responsible for supporting the Machining, Warehouse/Shipping, and Maintenance departments
Assist Machinist Leads and Millwrights; changing CNC inserts/tools, daily maintenance of machines, including building maintenance
Gathering all required tools for Machinist when needed
Operating the CNC saw, sandblasting mining bushings, deburring/polishing all oilfield and mining components after machining, when needed
Assist within Shipping department when needed, loading, and unloading parts into CNC machines, including moving pallets of parts with Pallet Jacks, when needed
Assisting Maintenance department, changing air filters, topping up fluids and cleaning coolant tanks of all CNC machines
At all times, the Laborer will be responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of themselves, their peers and customers in an environmentally friendly manner
General housekeeping duties as needed
Other duties as required
Profile and Required Skills:
Entry level position, machining and millwright experience an asset
Experience with Pneumatic hand tools
Able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings an asset
Forklift certification an asset
Additional requirements:
Forklift experience is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work and collaborate with all levels
Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
Excellent problem-solving skills: ability to identify and evaluate
Interest and the ability to learn new applications, tools, and technology
Energetic, self-motivated, creative with positive outlook
Keen attention to detail and meticulous delivery of the highest quality standards and accuracy; strong organizational skills
Strong work ethic: demonstrated time management, ability to prioritize, multitask and maintain flexibility
Ability to work well autonomously and within a collaborative environment
Must be open to continuous learning and improvement
Physical requirements:
Able to lift to 30lbs
Fit to be walking, standing, bending, lifting, and performing continuous and repetitive movements
Own vehicle
