General Labor Foreman

Superior Contracting Services is a full-service open shop specialty service contractor providing General Labor, Demolition, and Construction Cleaning Services to the commercial construction industry through New England.

We are looking for a reliable General Labor Foreman. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing other SCS crew members at jobsites to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. This is a working role, so you will also be expected to work alongside your team.

Location: Various Job sites located in MA, NH, RI and NY

Starting rate: Competitive Pay (pay is based on experience)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.

Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors

Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment.

Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably

Regularly report project status to supervisors, client superintendents and other management.

Interact with client superintendents to ensure daily tasks are completed to their satisfaction.

Communicate between Superior Field Operations Management team and Clients is a must.

Track, prioritize, and delegate tasks to laborers on your team.

Complete work orders and track time for your crew daily while submitting to SCS office in a timely manner.

Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.

May operate hand and power tools of all types.

May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials.

May assist other craft workers.

Qualifications:

The ability to fluently read, write and speak English.

Must be 18 years or older.

Must be able to work in, on, around, over and under equipment and machinery.

Must be able to work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.

Must be able to lift heavy weighted materials/equipment (50 – 70+ lbs.).

Must be able to work in adverse or extreme weather conditions.

Must be able to wear and work in personnel protective equipment.

Must have a vehicle or reliable means of transportation to and from jobsite.

Must have high regard for safety in the workplace.

Good attitude: must work well with others and take direction.

Must be responsible and punctual.
