Job Title: General Accountant for SAAS Marketing Company

Position Overview: The General Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will be an expert in NetSuite, HubSpot, and Excel, with a solid background in accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial statement creation, and analysis. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who excels in month-end and year-end closing processes, general ledger maintenance, and invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial reports.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

• Accounts Receivable & Payable:
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing.
• Reconcile and monitor customer and vendor accounts to maintain accurate records.

• General Ledger Management:
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Perform regular reconciliations of ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.

• NetSuite & HubSpot Integration:
• Utilize NetSuite for comprehensive financial management, including transaction processing, reporting, and account maintenance.
• Integrate HubSpot with financial systems to streamline data flow and improve financial tracking.

• Excel Expertise:
• Use Excel to create complex reports, perform data analysis, and manage large datasets.
• Utilize VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other advanced Excel functions to support financial analysis and reporting.

• Invoicing:
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Monitor invoice status and follow up on overdue payments as necessary.

Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a General Accountant or similar role, with a strong background in NetSuite, HubSpot, and Excel.
• Expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial statement creation and analysis, month-end and year-end closing, and general ledger management.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
