Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Gas Fitter B to join our team in Port Coquitlam, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining natural gas systems and equipment while ensuring compliance with provincial codes and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install, service, and decommission natural gas appliances and equipment depending on required scope of work

Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot gas-related issues

Install, connect/disconnect gas lines, valves, and related components

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with BC Safety Authority regulations and applicable codes

Conduct regular maintenance and safety inspections

Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Interact professionally with customers and team members

Follow all company safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid Gas Fitter B Certification (BC)

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Minimum 2 years of experience in gas installation or service (preferred)

Strong understanding of BC gas codes and safety standards

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and working in various environments

Preferred Assets (Optional)

Journeyperson/Red Seal Refrigeration Certificate

Experience with residential/commercial equipment

WHMIS, First Aid, or technical safety training
