Gardener - Team leader

Isidore Landscapes Inc. has been designing, installing, and maintaining landscapes in the lower mainland since 1994. We’ve built strong working relationships with construction companies, home builders, and landscape architects. Our technical expertise allows us to interpret, create, install, and maintain varied and complex landscape designs for all types of landscape projects.

We are looking to hire Gardeners to help keep up with our increasing amount of work in residential and commercial landscape installations.

1-2 year proven experience in landscape maintenance is required. Training is provided.

Key Duties of the position include:

Plan, coordinate and supervise site work

Instruct, train and provide feedback to other crew members

Install and maintain seasonal planting

Monitor and maintain the health of plants

Carry out planting, cultivation, mowing, trimming, edging & weeding

Provide aeration, lime & fertilizers to lawns.

Pruning of shrubs, trees, ground covers, hedges, and other plants.

Cleaning of walks, driveways, and entrances.

Operate landscaping vehicles and maintenance equipment including wood chipper, ride on lawn mowers, etc...

Operate and maintain all gardening equipment including mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers and hand tools such as rakes, pruners, snips, spades and wheelbarrow.

Install and repair lawns and lawn systems (e.g. sod, irrigation systems, etc.)

Represent Isidore Landscapes positively.

Requirements:

Ability to communicate fluently in English both oral and written

Physically capable, able to lift 40-60 pounds regularly.

Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.

Able to follow safe work practices.

Ability to arrive at job sites independently.

Valid BC Drivers License

1-2 year proven experience in landscape maintenance

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Benefits:

Extended health and dental benefits (including Life Insurance and Long Term Disability) following a 3-month probation period

DPSP following 1 year of employment (Citizens and PR)

4% vacation pay
